Committed to innovation, he develops training programs to enhance fire and rescue operations.
Chris Soda
Junk Yard Dog Extrication
Chris Soda is the owner and lead instructor of Junk Yard Dog Extrication Training and a Lieutenant with the Chicago Fire Department. With a passion for advancing firefighter education, Soda has been presenting the "Emergency Response to Electric Vehicle Incidents" course nationwide and in Canada, equipping first responders with the critical skills needed to handle EV emergencies safely and effectively.
Markham Extrication Training
The Markham Extrication Team, established in 2020 in Southern Ontario, is a skilled group of Canadian firefighters committed to advancing vehicle rescue techniques and community service. With diverse backgrounds and frontline experience, they combine real-world expertise with continuous learning. The team competes internationally, delivers hands-on extrication training across all skill levels, and actively supports fire departments and rescue teams through education and collaboration. Driven by a passion for saving lives, they’re dedicated to raising rescue standards and building confidence, knowledge, and capability in others.
